A 31-year-old man was killed and another injured after a truck collided with their motorcycle near the Friends Circle Restaurant U-turn in Suchitra on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Kadali Dushyanth, who was travelling as a pillion rider on a motorcycle. The rider, Satya Daiva Prasad, sustained injuries and was shifted to a hospital for treatment.
According to the Petbasheerabad police, the two were travelling from Suchitra towards Trimulgherry at around 11.30 a.m. when the truck, which was moving in the same direction, hit their motorcycle near the U-turn.
Dushyanth suffered grievous injuries in the collision. He was rushed to a nearby hospital by local residents, where doctors declared him dead at around noon. Satya Daiva Prasad is undergoing treatment.
The Petbasheerabad police booked a case against the truck driver and initiated a probe.
