A 48-year-old man and his 17-year-old daughter were killed in a road accident at Poondi near Kanjanur in Villupuram district on Tuesday.
The police gave the names of the victims as Venkatesan and Priya of Thuthipet village.
The police said Venkatesan was riding a two-wheeler with his daughter on the pillion when the fatal accident occurred. They were on the way to Villupuram when a fertilizer-laden lorry dashed against the two-wheeler killing the rider and pillion on the spot.
A case has been registered.
