Stating that ippa (mahua) flowers play a vital role in supporting tribal economy, Adilabad Collector Rajarshi Shah has called upon tribal people to collect ippa flowers in a scientific manner to explore their full potential for marching on the path of financial self-reliance. He also highlighted the need for conserving trees and preserving the glorious tribal heritage.

He was speaking at ‘Ippa Puvvu Panduga’, an annual event held under the aegis of the Integrated Tribal Development Agency, Utnoor, in association with Adivasi (Gondwana) organisations at Jamidi village in Narnoor mandal of Adilabad district on Thursday.
