The Maharashtra Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) on Sunday (July 26, 2026) released the state’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) data. Out of the 86 million (87.79%) enumeration forms distributed, 59 million (60.44%) have been digitised.

As many as 1,00,253 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) were appointed to conduct the SIR exercise across 36 districts of the State that boasts a 97.8 million-strong electorate.
Hingoli (99.98 %) led the form distribution followed by Jalgaon (99.91%), Buldhana (99.81%), Amravati (99.77%), Wardha (99.76%) and Sindhudurg (99.73%).
Only 70% of forms have been distributed in Pune, which has the highest number of registered voters in Maharashtra. Thane stood at 67.97%, whereas Mumbai suburbs and Mumbai city clocked 67.79 % and 72.37%, respectively.
Ratnagiri recorded the highest digitisation at 86.03%, followed by Yavatmal (85.20%), Buldhana (82.66%), Hingoli (82.63%), Parbhani (81.94%), Gadchiroli (80.84%) and Chandrapur (80.02%).
The Election Commission of India (ECI) plans to wrap up the enumeration phase by August 8.
