Partial cancellation of Chennai-bound trains on November 23

The Southern Railway has notified the partial cancellation of a few trains to and from Chennai on November 23 owing to signal and safety-related work at Tiruninravur Yard.

A release said Train No. 16551 MGR Chennai Central–Ashokapuram Express will be partially cancelled between MGR Chennai Central and Katpadi Junction. It will originate from Katpadi Junction instead of Central.

Train No. 16552 Ashokapuram–MGR Chennai Central Express will be partially cancelled between Katpadi Junction and MGR Chennai Central. It will short-terminate at Katpadi Junction instead of Central.

Train No. 12607 MGR Chennai Central–KSR Bengaluru Express will be partially cancelled between MGR Chennai Central and Katpadi Junction. It will originate from Katpadi Junction instead of Central.

Likewise, Train No. 12608 KSR Bengaluru–MGR Chennai Central Express will be partially cancelled between Katpadi Junction and MGR Chennai Central. It will short terminate at Katpadi Junction instead of Central, said the release.

Firing practice

Railway authorities in Mysuru have said that Railway Protection Force, Mysuru Division, will conduct the second phase of the annual firing practice at Dodda Byadarahhalli Range in Mandya district on November 25 between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m.

In view of this exercise, the local community and neighbouring villages have been advised to avoid both public and livestock movement in and around the firing range on that day.
