Former Congress MP Madhu Yashki Goud has criticised Union Ministers G Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar for their silence on the CBI probe into the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project’s irregularities.

During an informal interaction with the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Saturday, he pointed out the BJP’s previous demands for a CBI investigation into the project, constructed under the BRS rule.

“They demanded a CBI probe. Even after the State government handed over the case to the CBI, Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay are doing nothing,” he said.

On Kavitha’s suspension, Mr. Goud alleged that KCR had planned Kavitha’s suspension from the BRS to ensure the party’s existence, citing the party’s poor performance in recent elections.

Mr. Goud ridiculed Kavitha saying that people won’t believe her due to her involvement in the liquor scam. He also added that the contest in the next general elections would be between the Congress and BJP, highlighting Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s commitment to the BCs and weaker sections. He observed that BJP would use former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao as a pawn for political benefits.
