LPG cylinder shortage: Bengaluru hotels switch to induction, kerosene stoves

In an attempt to keep their kitchens running, many restaurants in Bengaluru have turned to alternatives such as kerosene stoves, induction cooktops, and even wood-fired cooking amid what hoteliers describe as a near-total shortage of commercial LPG cylinders.

With the uncertainty continuing for a second day, several establishments have begun cutting down on “operating hours” apart from the menu options.
