Leaders of Andhra Pradesh Lorry Owners Association (APLOA) submitted a representation to Transport Minister M. Ramprasad Reddy on Friday, drawing his attention to the key issues being faced by the transport sector.
In a statement, association’s state general secretary Y.V. Eswara Rao said the leaders requested the Minister to look into the problems related to the increased fitness fees, the issue concerning Andhra-Telangana counter-signature permits, high penalties being imposed on Karnataka-registered trailers and other major transport related issues.
The Minister assured them that appropriate steps would be taken to resolve the issues at the earliest.
Those who met the Minister included the association’s treasurer N. Krishna, Krishna district president N. Raja, general secretary A.V.V. Satyanarayana, secretary Ravi Sharath and others.
