Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national spokesman Neelayapalem Vijay Kumar has said that IT and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh’s ‘investment hunting spree’ is yielding impressive results and his ‘gate-crashing’ into the boardrooms of some of the world’s top companies, including the ones on the Fortune 500 list, propelled the State’s FDI inflows to $609 million.

The Speed of Doing Business framework, backed by an escrow-based incentive distribution system, enabled the government to clinch deals on a scale not witnessed before, Mr. Vijay Kumar, who is also State Biodiversity Board chairman, said while addressing the media at the TDP central office on Monday (September 28, 2026).

“Mr. Lokesh’s 3S model of Speed, Stability, Speed of Approvals and the expeditious manner in which the Cabinet has been giving approvals, have created a conducive atmosphere for investments flow. This proactive approach is transforming the State’s industrial landscape,” he said.

He said Mr. Lokesh’s recent outreach that spanned Dubai, Russia, and South Korea attracted huge investments and during the tour of Gujarat, he roped in some of India’s biggest corporate houses to invest in Andhra Pradesh.

Demonstrating this frantic ground-level momentum, the State Investment Promotion Board and the Cabinet have recently cleared 28 mega industrial proposals with an investment potential of ₹22,178 crore, unlocking 19,739 direct jobs for the local youth.

“With an overall approved investment pipeline reaching ₹14.05 lakh crore and over 40% of these investments actively advancing through the ‘signing, grounding and opening’ strategy, Andhra Pradesh is surging ahead,” Mr. Vijay Kumar added.
