Minister of IT and HRD Nara Lokesh said that he would take up the responsibility of ensuring drinking water supply, piped gas connections, and underground drainage facilities to every household in the Mangalagiri constituency by 2029, while reiterating his commitment to fulfilling every promise made during the 2024 elections.

He was speaking after distributing permanent title deeds and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) sanction letters to 372 beneficiaries belonging to the Mangalagiri constituency on Monday (September 28, 2026). Mr. Lokesh said the decades-old dream of a 100-bed hospital in Mangalagiri was soon set to become a reality.

While recalling that many leaders had asked him to make a promise regarding house-site title deeds to the poor in Mangalagiri in 2019, he said that he did not want to make a hasty commitment. “It was only after studying the issues regarding the constituency that I made the promise and went on to deliver the same,” he added.

The NDA government was now providing permanent title deeds to the eligible beneficiaries. Lands worth nearly ₹2,000 crore were distributed in the constituency so far through 6,060 deeds in three phases, he stated.

Mr. Lokesh said that as the Minister for HRD, he had introduced many reforms, including the striking transformation of Nidamarru Zilla Parishad High School into a model school that matches global standards. He said all government schools in the State would be developed in the similar style.

He also highlighted the uplift of the Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Mangalagiri town as one of the major initiatives undertaken by him.

A.P. State Medical Services & Infrastructure Development Corporation chairman Chillapalli Srinivasa Rao, TDP Politburo member Guthikonda Dhanunjay, TTD Board member Tammisetti Janaki Devi and others were present.
