While Andhra Pradesh will not see much impact due to the current weather system brewing over the Bay of Bengal, light to moderate rainfall can be expected at one or two places in south coastal A.P. and Rayalaseema on January 10 and 11.

According to the national bulletin issued by the Cyclone Warning Centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday, the depression over southeast Bay of Bengal has concentrated into a deep depression on Thursday. At 8.30 a.m., the deep depression remained over the southwest Bay of Bengal and east Equatorial Indian Ocean, 980 km south-southeast of Chennai. It is very likely to move west-northwestwards during the next 36 hours and cross the Sri Lankan coast around January 9.

Under the influence of the system, while orange and yellow alerts have been issued for Tamil Nadu, no warnings have been given for A.P.. Only on January 10 and 11, one or two places in SCAP and Rayalaseema may receive rain, while on other days, dry weather is likely to prevail.

There are no warnings for fishermen in the State.
