The value-added products launched by Kudumbashree under its premium agri-food brand K-INAM will serve as an alternative to corporate products in the global market, Minister for Local Self-Government M.B. Rajesh said here on Saturday (January 17, 2026). He added the women’s self-help mission had scripted a new chapter with the launch of the brand. He was speaking after launching 30 agri value-added products under K-INAM at Nedumbassery.

“The government’s goal is to equip Kudumbashree to face the challenges of modern times. It is a significant achievement to roll out 30 products through the Kudumbashree Technology Advancement Programme (K-TAP) within just a year of its launch in June last year. All possible markets, including the online space, will be explored for the products,” the Minister said.

He termed Kudumbashree’s foray into the global market, after its humble beginnings in local markets, a significant shift.

The Minister also launched the next phase of K-TAP, which focuses on deeper technology integration, expanded product pipelines, and enhanced market readiness, as well as the Yukthi agri start-up initiative aimed at nurturing youth-led agri and food enterprises.

The K-INAM products launched on Saturday include a diabetic mix, banana-based health mix, baby powder, nutribar, and virgin coconut oil. The product line-up also comprises coffee cubes, fruit bars, mango fruit bars, pasta, hydrated banana, moringa leaf powder, moringa cookies, and a variety of millet-based snacks.

Kudumbashree has also introduced a gift box comprising premium products under the K-INAM brand. Each product under K-INAM is developed using standardised protocols to ensure food safety, nutritional integrity, and shelf stability, aligned with FSSAI norms and scalable for domestic and export markets.

Women entrepreneurs are trained to operate modern processing methods, adopt good manufacturing practices, maintain hygiene and traceability standards, and use contemporary packaging and labelling systems.
