The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has condemned the comments of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on giving a call publicly to demolish the flag posts of the Opposition party.
In separate statements, BRS leaders K.T. Rama Rao and T. Harish Rao said that Mr. Reddy was trying to disturb law and order in the State by giving a call publicly to demolish the flag posts of BRS across the State.
“It’s unconstitutional to give such a call, particularly when the Chief Minister himself is holding the portfolio of Home, they said and warned that BRS ranks would retaliate in an appropriate measure in case the BRS flag posts were demolished and demanded that the Director General of Police take necessary action against CM’s comments of provoking violence.
Mr. Rama Rao sought to know whether Mr. Reddy was the Chief Minister or a factional leader since he was making comments amounting to encourage anti-social activities and crime.
On the other hand, Mr. Harish Rao alleged that betrayal was in the DNA of Mr. Reddy and back-stabbing and speaking lies day-in and day-out were his hallmark. Accusing Mr. Revanth Reddy of making a clandestine friendship with Bharatiya Janata Party while enjoying the Chief Minister’s position that had come his way from the Congress, he said CM was deceiving Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
Being the Chief Minister of Telangana, he was working against the interests of the State while supporting Andhra Pradesh in the matter of projects such as Polavaram-Bankacherla Link Project (PNLP).
Mr. Rao stated that Mr. Revanth Reddy was the first Congress Chief Minister to support BJP and publicly praise TDP, whose government in AP was working against the interests of Telangana on river waters.
