Telangana’s Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) has announced commencement of the first phase of web-based counselling for MBBS admissions under the Competent Authority Quota for the academic year 2025-26. The process covers government, private unaided minority and non-minority medical colleges across Telangana.

Candidates whose documents were verified and whose names feature in the final merit list released on September 15 are eligible to exercise web options. The window for selecting colleges will remain open from 6 a.m. on September 16 until 11.30 p.m. on September 18 through the official portal tsmedadm.tsche.in.

Tuition fees will be collected separately by respective colleges, with government medical colleges charging ₹10,000 per year and private institutions, including ESIC, levying ₹60,000 annually. Officials have cautioned that candidates who skip exercising options in the first round will not be allowed to participate in subsequent rounds, in order to prevent seat blocking. Similarly, those allotted a seat but failing to join will be barred from further phases of counselling.
