Union Minister of Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju on Monday (February 23, 2026) said the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will be fighting the upcoming Assembly elections in Kerala with the sole aim of forming the government. He was speaking to the media after inaugurating the NDA’s zonal office at Thrikkakara here, marking the launch of the alliance’s election campaign in central Kerala.

“For the first time we are entering the election to form the government and to change the political landscape of Kerala. The State always lacked a right government which can take it to the next level of prosperity,” Mr. Rijiju said.

Terming the NDA the true alterative for Kerala, the Union Minister said the alliance will take forward the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and only it can fulfill the dreams and the aspiration of the people of Kerala.

The Minister inaugurated the regional office in the presence of key leaders including BJP State president Rajeev Chandrasekhar, NDA vice chairman A.N. Radhakrishnan and Twenty20 chairman Sabu M. Jacob.

The NDA’s election campaign for Kottayam, Alapuzha, Idukki and Ernakulam districts will be coordinated from the office. Mr. Chandrasekhar said the party will be running an intense campaign for the next 45 days focusing on a vision for the future of the State along with exposing the failures of the governments formed by the Left Democratic Front and the United Democratic Front.
