Kerala’s ‘Vision 2031’: Health Minister’s review meet in Thiruvalla on Tuesday

Health Minister Veena George will present the policy document ‘Kerala’s Health Sector Vision 2031’ at the health seminar to be held on Tuesday at the Believers Convention Centre, Thiruvalla.

The one-day seminar will review key projects implemented since 2016 in the State, assess the major accomplishments, analyse the challenges being faced by the health system and outline the roadmap and the strategies to be adopted on the way ahead.

The seminar will feature 10 panel discussions across four venues, each focusing on different themes in the health sector.

Sessions are to be held on cancer, geriatric care and palliative care as well as non-communicable diseases, including heart diseases, stroke, diabetes, hypertension to name a few.

Medical research, economics of public health, infectious diseases, role of Ayush, emergency and trauma care and disaster management will also be discussed. Women and child health, drug research, food safety will also be taken up at the seminar.
