Woman ends life after miscreants attack her family

A woman, Satya Kumari (42), allegedly ended her life after some miscreants attacked her family members claiming that her son was speaking to a minor girl under the Machavaram police station limits. The accused had thrashed the family members of the boy and insulted them on the main road, alleging that the latter was speaking to a girl pursuing Intermediate at Giripuram area.

Feeling insulted, the woman ended her life at her home. She was admitted to a hospital, where she died on Saturday, said Machavaram Circle Inspector, Ch. Prakash.

Meanwhile, family members of the deceased staged a dharna in front of the police station on Saturday, demanding the arrest of the accused. The police registered a case against five members and launched a hunt to nab them, the CI said.
