Keralam Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan has extended his Onam greetings to all Keralites.
“Onam is Keralam’s most cherished tradition and a celebration that belongs to all Malayalis, transcending caste and religion. At a time when vested interests are seeking opportunities to spread hatred and division for their own gain, the people of Keralam have made Onam an occasion to show the world that they stand united, beyond the barriers of caste and religion. This, indeed, is the true message of Onam,” Mr. Satheesan said in his message on Tuesday.

He noted that every Onam celebration inspires resilience and self-confidence, reminding people that they are never alone, even during difficult times. Mr. Satheesan wished that every Keralite would be able to celebrate Onam with family and friends, setting aside their sorrows and hardships.
“The hardships caused by natural disasters have not yet fully passed. Yet, with every celebration, the people of Keralam draw renewed strength and courage to move forward. The government has made all necessary arrangements to ensure that people can celebrate Onam without worrying about rising prices. May this Thiruvonam bring joy, hope, and strength for the journey ahead,” he said.
Mr. Satheesan also extended his warm Onam greetings to Keralites around the world, who are celebrating the festival in every corner of the globe.
