Kerala Assembly Speaker A.N. Shamseer has said the allegations against Transport Minister K.B. Ganesh Kumar are “a closed chapter” now as the latter’s wife herself has said that she was withdrawing the complaint.

Speaking to the media in Kozhikode on Tuesday (March 10, 2026), Mr. Shamseer said that it was Bindu Menon, Mr. Kumar’s wife, who approached the media with the accusations. “Later, she herself is reported to have said that the problems had been solved. Their family issues need not be dragged into the political domain,” he said.

“Assembly elections could be declared in a couple of days. Whether this issue will have a political impact or not, the people will decide. Let us leave it to the people,” Mr. Shamseer added.
