The 64th edition of the Kerala School Arts Festival – Kalolsavam 2026 – being held in Thrissur, the cultural capital of Kerala, promises to be a grand affair. Nearly 14,000 students are set to showcase their talent in as many as 249 events organised across multiple venues. The showpiece festival, which kicked off on Wednesday (January 14, 2026), concludes on January 18.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will light the ceremonial lamp on Wednesday, while Education Minister V. Sivankutty and the Revenue Minister K. Rajan received the first batch of students at the Thrissur Railway Station on Tuesday (January 13), accompanied by Pulikkali performers and colourful parasols.
The Exhibition Ground at Thekkinkadu Maidan is the main venue.
