Kakinada sports club members invite SAAP chief for hockey tourney

Members of Kakinada Coastal Sports Club met Sports Authority of A.P. (SAAP) chairperson A. Ravi Naidu at the SAAP office in Vijayawada on Monday and invited him to participate as the chief guest in the Kakinada Gold Cup Hockey Tournament-2026, to be held from February 4 to 14. The club members informed Mr. Ravi Naidu that a modern hockey academy, worth ₹2.5 crore, would be established Kakinada, which will meet national standards and ensure development of hockey places in the State. Mr. Ravi Naidu congratulated the club founders, Ravi Chandra Prasad and A. Babji, for their contribution to sports, and unveiled medals to be given to winners of the tournament.
