In a significant push towards data-driven governance and tech-enabled public service delivery, the Karnataka State Remote Sensing Applications Centre (KSRSAC) on Tuesday (April 21) organised a district-level workshop on Karnataka Geographic Information System 2.0 (K-GIS 2.0), focusing on leveraging geospatial data to address local challenges.

Inaugurating the technical session at the zilla panchayat premises, KSRSAC director Rajesh N.L. said the platform is designed to help districts develop customised, data-backed solutions through web and mobile applications. Each district, taluk and gram panchayat faces unique challenges, and GIS 2.0 enables authorities to harness geospatial intelligence for targeted planning and improved service delivery, he added.
