The J&K government on Tuesday (April 28, 2026) blacklisted the Reliance General Insurance Company Limited (RGICL) for a period of two years in the Union Territory (UT), in the backdrop of the investigation agencies’ report that the company entered into an agreement with the Union Territory (UT) administration “even without having the required eligibility”.

“In order to safeguard public interest and ensure probity in public procurement, the M/S Reliance General Insurance Company Limited is hereby blacklisted/debarred for a period of two years from participating in any bidding or procurement process to be initiated by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir,” said an order issued by the Finance department of the J&K government.
