Responding positively to a rare outreach of J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, leaders and legislators in the Valley are turning up in anti-drug rallies and awareness campaigns organised by the administration.

Mr. Sinha, who is in-charge of the security of J&K, wrote formal letters to the legislators, civil society members and the heads of the political parties to join the fight against drug menace.

“It is my considered view that the success of this campaign is contingent upon the adoption of a whole of government approach, bringing together the full institutional strength of the UT administration under a unified, mission-oriented framework,” reads the letter of the L-G, which was circulated among the legislators.
