Jana Sena Party picks Lingamaneni Ramesh as its Rajya Sabha candidate

Jana Sena Party (JSP) president K. Pawan Kalyan has announced Lingamaneni Ramesh’s candidature for the Rajya Sabha (RS) seat, which has been given to the party as part of the adjustment with its allies (TDP and BJP).

A party release said Mr. Ramesh had been closely associated with the JSP and Mr. Pawan Kalyan since 2015. He had played an active role in  supporting the coordination between the the JSP, TDP and BJP, and in organisational efforts during the 2024 elections.

Mr. Ramesh will file his nomination on Saturday (June 6) afternoon. Elections for the vacant seats are scheduled to be held on June 18.

Mr. Ramesh is a native of Vijayawada and is widely recognised as one of the entrepreneurs who contributed to the transformation of the Vijayawada region into a major economic and urban growth centre through his diversified businesses.

His legacy had started with the Lingamaneni Sriramulu – Neelakantheswaramma Charitable Trust, which was an major platform for educational support, social welfare and community development initiatives.
