J&K Deputy CM ‘shocked’ to see suspended official at work; orders probe

Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Friday (April 10, 2026) ordered an inquiry into how “suspended officials continue to work” at the Department of Geology and Mining.

Mr. Choudhary, who visited the Directorate of Mining office in Jammu, said officers he had suspended were “still working” and termed the incident “shocking”.
