Intermediate student dies under suspicious circumstances

A second-year Intermediate student reportedly died under mysterious circumstances at a corporate college on the outskirts of Vijayawada.

The college staff said the student, M. Pavan Kumar (17), reportedly ended his life in his hostel room on Saturday night. He was rushed to the hospital, where the doctors declared him dead.

Meanwhile, Pavan’s parents alleged that their son was beaten in a clash involving few students that happened a few days ago in the hostel and expressed doubt on his death. The Penamaluru police in Krishna district registered a case and took up investigation.
