India AI Summit: Andhra Pradesh Government signs seven MoUs

The Government of Andhra Pradesh (GoAP) signed seven Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) for enhancement of skills and infrastructure creation in Quantum Computing and AI sectors at the India AI Impact Summit in New Delhi on Friday (February 20, 2026).

Senior officials of GoAP and representatives of the organisations/companies collaborating with the State for harnessing the power of quantum technologies and AI inked the facts in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

The primary objective of the agreements was to transform Andhra Pradesh into a Quantum-AI Hub thereby gaining international recognition for the Quantum Valley in Amaravati. 

The MoUs were signed with United Nations International Computing Centre (UNICC) for establishing a Center of Excellence (CoE) in Quantum and AI in Amaravati, IBM for training 100,000 youth in quantum, AI and cybersecurity, National Institute of Electronics & IT for setting up a Quantum AI Deemed University in Amaravati, a consortium of Bharat Gen, NexGen, and IBM for building an indigenous State – level AI Tech hub/stack, Calibo AI for the establishment of AI Academies and AI Sandboxes in 50 higher education institutions, Vizer for setting up a CoE in Amaravati, and IIT Madras for introducing an AI Tutor for students in government and private schools. 

UNICC Director Sameer Chauhan, IBM India MD Sandeep Patel, IIT Madras Director Kamakoti and others were present.
