The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted thunderstorms, accompanied with lightning and gusty winds, at isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema until May 7, while hot, humid and uncomfortable weather conditions will prevail in the rest of the State.
On Thursday, Gudur in Nellore district recorded the highest temperature of the season at 45.8° C, while heatwave conditions were observed in 216 out of 688 mandals in the State.
