The India Meteorological Department (IMD), in its monthly outlook for May, has predicted a higher number of heatwaves in coastal Andhra Pradesh and above-normal minimum temperatures across the State this month.

Although May is typically the hottest month in Andhra Pradesh, a few areas in the northern region may see slight relief, with maximum temperatures likely to remain normal to below-normal. However, most other parts of the State are expected to experience normal to above-normal maximum temperatures.
