IIT Madras, Hero MotoCorp sign MoU to partner in research, employee upskilling

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, and Hero MotoCorp have signed an MoU to collaborate in multiple areas of research, education, and employee upskilling.

Under the collaboration, Hero MotoCorp will explore instituting scholarships for research scholars of IIT Madras and offer projects to students of IIT Madras while the institution will offer degree programmes, including M.Tech and PhD, tailored for the company’s employees and offer specialised short-term programmes to upskill the employees in areas such as electric vehicle development, battery cell technology, motor and controllers, and vehicle dynamics.

Vikram Kasbekar, Executive Director, Acting CEO and CTO, Hero MotoCorp, Anuj Dua, Head of Global Product Planning, Hero MotoCorp, V. Kamakoti, Director, IIT Madras, and Manu Santhanam, Dean (IC&SR), IIT Madras were present.
