IIT-M launches employment training for diploma students

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, through the IIT-Madras Shaastra magazine, has launched a curated training and employability assessment programme for engineering and diploma students across the country. Termed National Internship, Placement Training, and Assessment (NIPTA), the initiative aims at offering the students a curated 10-to-12-week training programme, followed by a three-hour in-person assessment examination. Those interested in the programme may visit nipta.iitm.ac.in. Students need to register and pay a nominal fee for the exam. The schedule for the programme and training resources, including video lectures and sample questions, would be put up on the website soon, said Srikanth Vedantam, Editorial Board Chair, IIT-Madras Shaastra magazine.
