The third edition of the Kerala Film Market (KFM), organised by the Kerala State Film Development Corporation (KSFDC), was inaugurated on Sunday as part of the 30th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK).
Held at the South Park Hotel from December 14 to 16, the third edition of the film market introduces expanded segments such as Project Market, Video Library, Industry Voices, and PitchBox. It features 12 projects and 13 films under Curator’s Pick, all aimed at promoting collaboration, learning and industry growth.
With participation from filmmakers and industry professionals from across the world, the KFM aims to open international commercial opportunities for Malayalam and other regional cinemas. Its goal is to strengthen creative and financial collaborations and enhance Kerala’s presence in the global film marketplace.
Rajan Khobragade, Additional Chief Secretary, inaugurated the market. KSFDC chairperson K. Madhu presided over the function. Filmmaker T. V. Chandran was the chief guest. The curation of the Kerala Film Market was led by Lina Khobragade, including the Video Library and the Curator’s Pick selection, which features 10 films.
