The Hyderabad Disaster Response & Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) on Saturday removed several buildings constructed blocking a public road.

The road with a width of 50 feet in the Arvind Enclave of Medchal-Malkajgiri district was blocked by construction of a wall by a local resident, after which construction was taken up on the other side. Despite complaints, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation reportedly had not responded. Local people who approached the HYDRAA through Praja Vani programme complained that owing to the wall, the colony residents are forced to take a detour of one kilometre to reach the main road. which is otherwise mere 100 metres away. The problem had remained for 15 years before HYDRAA addressed it. After inspection at field level, HYDRAA chief A.V.Ranganath directed the officials to remove the obstacles.
