Hyderabad sees intermittent rainfall on Tuesday, IMD forecasts more showers in next 24 hours

Several parts of Hyderabad witnessed moderate to heavy rainfall on Tuesday (November 4) bringing brief relief from the prevailing warm conditions during the day. The rains, which were intermittent throughout the day, did not result in waterlogging or major traffic disruptions. By evening, showers had largely subsided across most areas.

According to data from the Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS), as of 9 p.m., Chandrayangutta recorded a rainfall of 38.8 mm followed by 29.5 mm in Hayathnagar, 26.8 mm in Uppal, 24 mm in Vanasthalipuram, 22.5 mm in Karvan, 21.3 mm in Bandlaguda, 20.8 mm in Falaknuma, 18 mm in LB Nagar, 17.3 mm in Kanchanbagh, 15 mm in Nagole and 10.8 mm in Mehdipatnam.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light rain in Hyderabad and surrounding areas over the next 24 hours. “The city will see a partly cloudy sky. Light rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds are very likely to occur. Mist or hazy conditions may prevail during morning and night hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 32°C and 23°C respectively,” the IMD bulletin stated.
