App-based cab, auto and bike taxi services may remain unavailable on Saturday (February 7, 2026) in view of a pan-India strike called by drivers associated with transport aggregator platforms. The strike is expected to impact commuters travelling to and from Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad.

In an advisory issued on Friday (February 6, 2026), the RGIA management said that the airport operations will remain unaffected despite the proposed strike. However, passengers travelling to and from the airport were advised to plan their commute in advance and factor in additional travel time.

The airport authorities cautioned that app-based cab, auto and bike taxi services may not be available on the day of the strike. Travellers were urged to consider alternate modes of transport to avoid last-minute inconvenience.

Alternative transport options to RGIA

According to the advisory, alternative transport options at RGIA will include prepaid taxis, car rental services and the Pushpak Airport Bus service. Passengers requiring assistance werehave been asked to approach the transport help desk located near Aeroplaza at the airport premises.
