HR&CE Dept conducting festivals for saints including Nathamunigal, Thirunavukkarasar: Minister

A giant sized 9-step tall golu was inaugurated on Monday at the Kapaleeswarar – Karpagambal Kalyana Mandapam in Mylapore by P.K. Sekarbabu, Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment department. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Sekarbabu said festivals were being conducted by the department for saints including the Nandanar, Karaikal Ammaiyar, Nathamunigal, Vallalar, Sekizhar, Thirunavukkarasar, and Alavandar achariar.

The annual Navarathri festival will feature special pujas every day from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., including Navaavarna Puja on September 28, Lalitha Thrishathi on September 29, and Suvasini Puja on September 30. Music programmes will be held from 6 p.m. to 8.30 pm. This is the fourth year the Navarathri festival was being celebrated in such a grand manner.
