The vision of ‘One Family-One Entrepreneur’ is to ensure that every household has a pathway to sustainable income through self-employment, said Kondapalli Srinivas, Minister for MSME, SERP, and NRI Empowerment and Relations, on Friday (March 27, 2026).

Speaking at a programme organised by Bharatiya Yuva Shakti Trust (BYST), the Minister said that both the State and Central governments are providing strong support through MSME schemes, subsidies, and access to finance, especially for youth and women. “Our focus is to take these opportunities to the grassroots and encourage people to come forward and build their own enterprises,” he said, adding that by strengthening MSMEs, the government is not only improving family incomes but also creating jobs and driving inclusive economic growth across Andhra Pradesh.

The BYST, with support from Cisco India CSR, conducted a grassroots entrepreneurship outreach event in 75-Tyallur village of Pedakurapadu mandal in Palnadu district of Andhra Pradesh.

The trust organised awareness generation programmes across multiple locations, including Pedakurapadu, Krosuru, Atchampet, Amaravathi, Bellamkonda, Gudipudi, and Balusupadu and the outreach was extended to educational institutions and public offices also.

It has also facilitated participation in its ongoing ‘Business Idea Contest’ aimed at identifying and nurturing youth-led enterprises and the event witnessed strong participation of 3,000 aspiring entrepreneurs, youth, women, and community members across five mandals, covering nearly 100 villages.

Founding and Managing Trustee of BYST Lakshmi V. Venkatesan said, “entrepreneurship has the power to transform not just individual lives, but entire communities. Through this outreach in Andhra Pradesh, we are taking the ‘One Family-One Entrepreneur’ vision closer to the grassroots where aspiration is high but access is often limited.”

The event was attended by Palnadu district Collector Krithika Shukla, Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Corporation (AP MSMEDC) T. Shiva Shankar Rao, MLA, Pedakurapadu Bhashyam Praveen, MSMEDC Director China Raju Gudipudi and others.
