The Gannavaram police of Krishna district arrested a Pune resident and seized 112 kg of ganja, worth about ₹5.6 lakh, from his possession on Wednesday (December 17). According to Krishna Superintendent of Police V. Vidyasagar Naidu, the accused, Deepak Thupe of Pune, was arrested during a vehicle check at B.B. Gudem. Deepak Thupe was allegedly smuggling the ganja from Balangir in Odisha State. An investigation is on.
