Students who excelled in the SSC Public Examinations-2026 are being rewarded in unique and encouraging ways across Andhra Pradesh, with teachers, public representatives and community leaders coming forward to recognise academic achievement and motivate young learners.

In a heartwarming gesture from Vizianagaram district, a student of Zilla Parishad High School at Cheepurupalli was given his first-ever flight journey experience after emerging as the school topper. A. Hemanth, who secured 581 marks in the SSC examinations, was taken on a flight journey from Visakhapatnam to Vijayawada by the school’s lab assistant, Miriyala Krishna Rao, at his own expense. “The initiative was aimed at giving government school students not only academic success but also memorable life experiences and greater exposure,” said Mr. Krishna Rao.

The school headmaster and teaching staff were appreciated for their dedicated efforts in guiding students towards excellent results. The United Teachers Federation State Committee also congratulated the teachers and school administration for encouraging students in innovative ways.

In another initiative, TDP MLA from Srikalahasti, Bojjala Sudheer Reddy, invited three SSC toppers from his constituency — Jasmita, Sai Pujita and Mohit Charan — to his residence for lunch and felicitated them for their excellent performance. The MLA also announced that each of the students would be given three cents of land as an incentive for academic excellence. “This should inspire other students to excel in academics and achieve their goals,” said Mr. Reddy.

The MLA said the initiative was intended to encourage students to pursue higher education and strive for excellence in academics. The announcement has attracted widespread attention, with educationists describing it as an unusual yet significant effort to motivate meritorious students. Parents and local residents welcomed the gesture, stating that such recognition would inspire more students to focus on education and spur competitive achievement.
