Four people were killed in a ghastly road accident in Nalgonda district early on Sunday (July 5, 2026) when a speeding bus rammed into the car they were travelling in from behind at Peddakaparthi in Chityal mandal.

According to preliminary reports, four occupants of the car died on the spot, while the driver sustained serious injuries. A few passengers travelling in the bus also suffered injuries in the collision.

The impact of the crash left the car completely mangled. Police from Chityal station rushed to the accident site, shifted the bodies to the Nalgonda Area Hospital for post-mortem examination, and admitted the injured driver for treatment.

The accident occurred at a stretch where flyover construction works are under way. Traffic had reportedly been diverted to a single carriageway, and the exact cause of the accident is under investigation
