Four individuals were arrested and nearly 2.5 kilograms of ganja was seized during a series of raids conducted across Hyderabad by the State Task Force (STF) of Telangana Excise and Prohibition Department on Wednesday.

In the first raid, STF A-Team arrested Mohammed Kazha at Maruti Nagar near Langar Houz and seized 1.4 kilograms of ganja. A case has also been registered against supplier Sheikh Habib, who remains absconding.

In another operation, Kundan Kumar Jha of Secunderabad was arrested while he was selling ganja in Ameerpet. Officers seized 521 grams of the substance from him.

Meanwhile, the STF-B team arrested two individuals, identified as Ravi Teja and Satish Goud, for selling ganja packets in Karkhana. Police seized 35 packets of ganja reportedly brought from Bidar. The main supplier, identified as Praveen, is absconding.

The arrested individuals and seized contraband have been handed over to the respective excise stations at Golkonda, Ameerpet, and Malkajgiri for further investigation.
