On a Goa to New Delhi flight, former MLA from Khanapur Anjali Nimbalkar, also a trained doctor, stepped in to help a young American woman who developed health complications, on December 13, 2025.

As the flight took off from Goa to Delhi, the traveller started experiencing shivers and fainted. Dr. Anjali exercised cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and revived the woman, said a release from the team of the former MLA.

After half an hour, the woman collapsed again, but was revived due to Dr. Anjali’s efforts.

“Dr. Nimbalkar looked after her throughout the flight and ensured that the ambulance was called to tarmac and as the flight landed at Delhi, she ensured the immediate transportation of the patient to hospital,” said a release.
