Five persons of a family, including two children, were killed in a road accident near Kotekal in Yemmiganur Mandal around 4 a.m. on Saturday (November 29, 2025). Police said two cars collided head-on after one of the drivers is believed to have dozed off behind the wheel.
Two persons were injured in the crash and were shifted to the Government Hospital in Adoni for treatment. The bodies of the deceased were also moved there for post-mortem.
The victims belonged to Karnataka’s Kolar district. Traffic, which was briefly disrupted, was restored after the police cleared the route. A case has been registered.
