A fire that broke out at a pharma company at Kannettumukku, near Aryashala, in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday.

A massive fire broke out at a building where a pharma company functions at Kannettumukku, near Aryashala, in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday.

The fire which started around 8 p.m. caused tension among the people nearby and the minor explosions posed threat to other buildings around the facility.

According to the Fire and Rescue Services personnel, the fire broke out in the facility of a private pharma company called Universal Pharma. The fire first broke out in the ground floor of the three-storied building and quickly spread to the other floors.

Personnel from the Chengalchoola fire force unit brought the blaze under control within a few hours.
