Leaders of the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and Andhra Pradesh Library Science Unemployed JAC staged a protest at the Dharna Chowk in Vijayawada on Wednesday (September 10), demanding immediate steps to fill the vacant library posts across the State.

Former MLC K.S. Lakshman Rao, Secretary of Andhra Pradesh Library Association Raavi Sarada, Secretary of Andhra Pradesh Library Revival Movement Forum Lakshmaiah, convenor of A.P. Library Science Unemployed JAC K. Jagadish urged the government to do the needful to ensure justice to two lakh unemployed candidates waiting for jobs.

They also wanted the government to establish digital libraries in every gram panchayat and allocate dedicated buildings to run libraries.

DYFI State general secretary G. DYFI state leaders P. Krishnakanth, city leaders Nijam, Shiva, Mahesh, Krishna and AP Library Science Unemployed JAC leaders M. Ramesh, B. Ramanappa, Srikanth Babu, Sai Babu, N. Usha, Manikanta, Baburao and others led the protest.
