Excise nabs siblings for selling suspected MDMA through dating app

KOCHI

The Excise has arrested two brothers from Kannur for allegedly peddling synthetic drugs through a dating app. Muhammed Rabeeh C.M., 22, and Rizwan C.M., 30, of Mattool, Kannur, were nabbed from a lodge near the Ernakulam Town railway station on Tuesday night. Excise officials also seized 37.274 grams of suspected MDMA from them.

The accused were arrested by a team led by Excise Inspector Abhiraj R. of Excise Range Office, Ernakulam.

In a separate incident, the police arrested three youths and seized 28.40 grams of suspected MDMA from them near Vidyanagar Cross Road, Kadavanthra. The arrested are Francis Kurisinkal, 37, of Fort Kochi,Ajish K.V., 35, of Palluruthy, and Francis Xavier Fernandez, 32, of Mundamveli.
