Adarsh Sudhindra, Chief Innovation Officer of Excelsoft Technologies and founding member of Mysore Quantum AI, launched his debut book, The Compounding Leader: A Mid-Career Manifesto in the Age of AI, in Mysuru on Saturday.

The book was formally launched by Mysore Quantum AI and Mysuru Book Clubs Charitable Trust in the presence of R. Guru, Chairman of NR Group, who was the chief guest. R. Balasubramaniam, Member of NITI Aayog and founder of SVYM and GRAAM, was the guest of honour. D. Sudhanva, Chairman and Managing Director of Excelsoft Technologies and author of the book’s foreword, and Shubha Sanjay Urs of Mysuru Books Clubs Charitable Trust were present.

The event featured a fireside chat between the author and Adarsh Ramesh, founder of InsideOut, followed by an interactive session with the audience.

Aimed at professionals with eight to 20 years of work experience, the book focuses on building capabilities, creating leverage through others and making deliberate choices that generate long-term results, according to a press release.

The book is structured in three parts — The Inner Game, The Outer Game and The Long Game — and revolves around what the author calls the ‘Compounding Leader Flywheel’. While The Inner Game focuses on career trajectory and continuous growth, The Outer Game explores leverage through people and artificial intelligence. The Long Game looks at roots and legacy, including family, community and nurturing the next generation of leaders. The fifth element, “Reps”, focusses on the practices that enable these areas to compound over time.

AI is a central theme of the book. Mr. Sudhindra distinguishes between “Shallow AI” and “Deep AI” and advocates a focus on depth, outcomes and trust rather than simply chasing speed and novelty.

“Mid-career is a defining stage for leaders. Responsibilities become larger, decisions carry greater weight, and the pace of technological change demands continuous learning,” said Mr. Sudhindra, a member of the Forbes Technology Council and a TEDx speaker.

Published by Notion Press, the book is available in paperback and Kindle editions on Amazon India.
