With coordination of the departments, a survey to assess the percentage of the disabilities among those who came personally and participated and selected beneficiaries were distributed the required equipment.

“We ensured the justice to the doorsteps of the differently abled persons with this equipment,” the judge said and also wished for the district to get first place in the State on issuing the necessary UDID cards to the beneficiaries.

Director of YIMS Sandeep Patil said that after successful assessment, the equipment, like wheelchairs, ear aids, sticks, etc., would be given to the selected beneficiaries. Presently, the district is in 12th place in the State, and efforts are on to secure the top spot.
