The Regional Office of Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) in Mysuru has launched the Employees’ Enrolment Campaign (EEC) 2026 to expand the social security coverage.
In a press statement here, EFPO’s Regional PF Commissioner-1, Mysuru, Shadakshara Gopala Reddy has appealed to all eligible employers to avail the benefits of the EEC 2026, which is a “special one-time compliance facilitation initiative that will remain open till October 31, 2026”.
The campaign enables employers to voluntarily enrol eligible employees, who remained outside EPF coverage between April 1, 2009 and March 31, 2026, thereby extending statutory social security benefits while promoting voluntary compliance.
“Under the campaign, employers are provided significant compliance relief. Where the employee’s share of EPF contribution was not deducted from wages, the same shall be waived. Employers are required to remit only the employer’s share of contribution along with applicable interest, administrative charges and a nominal damage of ₹100,” the statement said.
The initiative seeks to expand social security coverage, promote formal employment and encourage voluntary compliance under the Employees’ Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions (EPF and MP) Act.
“Employers are required to complete the enrolment process through the EPFO Employer Portal using the dedicated EEC-2026 module. The process includes online declaration, Face Authentication-based UAN generation, ECR filing and digital submission of declarations”, the statement said.
The statement said “The Employees’ Enrolment Campaign provides employers with a unique opportunity to regularise eligible employees while extending the benefits of provident fund, pension and insurance. We urge all eligible establishments to avail the scheme before the deadline of October 31, 2026.”
EPFO has been conducting awareness programmes, employer outreach meetings and stakeholder interactions across the region to facilitate implementation of the campaign and assist establishments in completing the enrolment process, the statement said while asking the employers to visit the EPFO Employer Portal or contact the EPFO Regional Office for further information and assistance.
